Jimmi Madsen set for CSC Tiscali

The 32-year-old Dane’s one-year contract with the team is primarily going to strengthen those riders who attend the northern European races.

Alex Pedersen says:
”Jimmi Madsen is a robust rider well suited for different parts of our schedule. In the smaller races, he will be a great support as well as a potential stage winner. Also, he will be an important rider in the Danish races and a serious candidate for the overall victory in next year’s Post Cup”.

Jimmi Madsen has been riding for money since 1993, and represented Team AcceptCard in the 1998-99 season. Until now, he has focused his career on track riding, and has long been one of the best winter season track riders in the world. In 2000, he won the European Dernypace Championship, and he has won the European Championship in Partner Race twice (with Jens Veggerby). He has won bronze medals in the Olympics (1992) and the World Championship (1993). In 2000, he was the runner-up of the road race Grand Prix Midtbank.

Since 2000, Jimmi Madsen has ridden for Team Bornholm.
